Privacy Policy
Vellinko was built so that we never see your documents. This policy explains, in plain words, the little data that does exist.
The short version
- Your PDFs never leave your device. They are opened, signed and saved by your browser. We never receive them.
- No account, no cookies, no tracking. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
- Saved signatures stay in your browser. Only if you choose to save them, and you can delete them anytime.
- The contact form is the only thing that reaches us, and only when you send it.
1. Who we are
Vellinko (vellinko.com) is a free online tool for signing PDF documents, operated by Antoine Viala, based in France. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at antoine.viala@vellinko.com or through the contact page.
2. Your documents
When you open a PDF in Vellinko, the file is read directly by your web browser on your device. Signing, adding initials, filling in forms and creating the final PDF all happen locally, in your browser's memory.
Your documents are never uploaded to our servers or to any third party. We have no technical ability to access, store or read them. When you close the page, the document is cleared from memory.
Our pages are served with a Content Security Policy that prevents the editor from sending data to any outside server. You can check this yourself by using Vellinko with your internet connection turned off.
3. Signatures saved on your device
If you tick "Save on this device", the image of your signature or initials, and the name you typed, are stored in your browser's local storage on that device only. This data is never sent to us and does not sync across devices.
You can delete a saved signature at any time from the editor, or by clearing your browser's site data for vellinko.com.
4. Offline mode
To work without a connection, your browser keeps a copy of the Vellinko app (its code, styles and fonts) in its cache. This copy contains none of your documents or personal data.
5. Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, topic and message. We use them only to answer you. The message is delivered to us by email through our email service provider.
We keep these messages for as long as needed to handle your request, and no longer than 3 years after our last exchange, unless the law requires otherwise. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the questions people send us.
6. Hosting and technical logs
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks. This processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy. These logs never include the content of your documents, since your documents are never sent.
7. Cookies and analytics
Vellinko does not use cookies, advertising trackers or third-party analytics. We don't show you a cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
8. Sharing your data
We don't sell, rent or share personal data. The only service providers involved are our host (Cloudflare) and, for contact form messages, our email provider.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you can ask to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you (in practice, only contact form messages), and you can object to its processing. Write to antoine.viala@vellinko.com. You can also file a complaint with your data protection authority. In France, that is the CNIL (cnil.fr).
10. Children
Vellinko does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because documents are processed on the device and no account exists, the tool collects no personal data from its users when they sign documents.
11. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
